About me

Artist
Video artist and photographer, I have been working on Art-Science projects for 20 years, creating innovative, interactive and VR cinematographic prototypes, that integrate the possibilities of digital technology and neuroscience tools like EEG, into a cinematic narration. Since 1996, my work has been exhibited in many museums, galleries and festivals on an international context.

PhD Researcher
I have developped a research on cinema and neurosciences, focussed on the emotional activity of the viewer in 360 VR film experience. I study how specific is the viewer's perception and engagement in this context, and his or her imaginative and memory activity.
I obtained an European post-doctoral Mobilitas Pluss grant in Tallinn university ( 2021-22), MOBJ1085, intitled  : "Freud's last Hypnosis - Validating emotion-driven enactions in cinematic VR".

Education
I graduated at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (1994), I followed an artist in residency program in the Jan van Eyck Akademie (Netherlands, 1995-1997) and in Le Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains (2001-03) https://www.lefresnoy.net/ecole/etudiant/78/
Doctor in Arts and Arts’ Sciences, I obtained my PhD in 2000 in Aix-Marseille university, France. My thesis is intitled : Cinema and neuro-sciences, from Emotive Cinema to Emotive VR. https://theses.fr/2020AIXM0009
